Sterling Silver 'Falling Leaf' Stud Earrings

Sterling Silver 'Falling Leaf' Stud Earrings

£32.00Price

These cute little earrings are heavily inspired by the leaves of the beautiful elm and beech trees I’m so lucky to live amongst here in the Forest of Dean. The amazing colours we get from these magnificent trees will forever keep me seeking them out all year round, but I am particularly fond of their vibrant hues in late autumn when they provide the forest with the most amazing canopy of fiery oranges, yellows, reds, and browns.

These earrings are my cheeky little nod to those broadleaf beauties and the awe-inspiring colour pallet that they provide. I hope you love them as much as I do.

These are a one-of-a-kind item, the earrings that are pictured in this listing are the exact pair that you will receive.

  • Item Details

The body of each earring has been made from 0.8mm thick recycled sterling silver sheet and 0.8mm thick recycled sterling silver wire, with each measuring approx. 1.3cm longs x 7mm wide (at their thickest point).

The pattern on each leaf has been hand-stamped using the end of an old needle file and then darkened with patina to help the details of the design stand out against the high-shine finish of the silvers surface

The ear posts are made from 0.8mm round recycled sterling silver wire and are approximately 1.1cm long.

The scrolls (earring backs) were not handmade by me and were instead purchased from Cooksongold. They are also crafted from recycled sterling silver sheet and measure approx. 5.4mm long, 4mm wide and 3.3mm thick

These earrings are lightweight and super comfortable to wear, weighing in a approx. 0.5g per earring.

  • Caring for Your Jewellery

Sterling silver can easily tarnish over time, especially handmade and artisan items that are typically not plated or lacquered in the way that most commercial jewellery is.

To keep your jewellery looking great for years to come remember to remove it before exercising, swimming, bathing, showering or when completing tasks where it could get knocked or damaged.

Do not allow your jewellery to come into contact with harsh chemicals, hand sanitisers, perfumes and lotions (It’s always best to put your jewellery on last while getting dressed). And store your item in the jewellery bag provided when it is not being worn.

For more information on caring for your Jewellery please visit the Caring for Your Jewellery section of this website, a link can be found in the Quick Links sections at the bottom of this page.
